Photo Contests
We believe that anyone who has ever taken pictures, sometimes take great ones. FOTKI contests offers a space to showcase the works of all owners of cameras. We invite all Fotki members to participate in our photo contests, which we hold regularly (check out the list of contests below). Enter our contests to get recognized throughout the community, make new friends and have fun! We also encourage you to vote for the other people's photos.
Recource Magazine Photocontest: Accepting new entries
GET YOUR WORK PUBLISHED IN RESOURCE MAGAZINE. Resource Magazine's editors will carefully select 10-15 winners to be published in one of New York's most reputable Photo Industry publications. For approval you must include:
Title of Photo,
Name of Artist,
Concept,
Camera Used,
and Location shot.
If accepted, Resource Magazine will request an image large enough to print: 300dpi min in the size to be printed.

We are planning to run some ads in friendly magazines, so, we thought we'd ask the people who know Fotki best, our users, to help us with the ads. You may take either color or B&W logo of any size from this page or use your imagination - and whatever else you can think of - to create your own version. The only guideline is: Your funny, romantic, amazing, stunning, creative... you name it!... entry should contain two words: 'Fotki' and 'com' with the dot between them. Most probably, it should be a photograph related to what Fotki is: a PHOTOGRAPHY SITE. In other words, a cute kid/dog/lizard with a "Fotki.com" is nice but it's not so much about Photography and passion for Photography... right? (We could be wrong there...) :) First, Second and Third place winners will receive a one-year Fotki Premium Membership.
What is also important: Fotki reserves the right to use any images submitted herein in its advertising. Fotki will credit the author of each photo.

These aren't tricky, and don't require sophisticated cameras and lenses. You need a tripod and your imagination, and the sky is the limit to the fun shots you can achieve. Exposure can be from 1 second to several minutes depending on the effect you want. With a digital camera there is no cost so you can experiment to your heart’s content and submit to the contest your best photo.

Adopt a Fotkin Contest is an action to create brother- or sisterhoods between two Fotkins of different race, origin, culture or religion.
Make contact with the Fotkin you want to become or are already friend with and send us his/her photo you made. If you didn't have a chance to meet your Fotki sibling make a photo of their photo or Fotki page on your monitor and decorate it as a still life with some symbol(s) of friendship. The final goal of this contest should be that you meet one day in person or better, visit each other.

This is a drawing contest to determine the Fotki mascot!

Many of us love going to the beach, and anything to do with the beach... Like palm trees, shells, playing in the sand, pelicans, gulls, terns, sailboats, speedboats,surfers, the waves splashing up on shore or rocks,etc. Many people have old beach shots that they love.
