how to say it without being mean? pretty is not equal to the beauty, and I believe you can see the beauty in her ;) so good (thumbs up).. as for the photo not bad and not excellent ;) but I like it..
lighting and too much noise surrounding her ruins the picture. maybe if the shot was front and center it would help. the glasses seem a little crooked too. nice start but keep practicing. portraits aren't easy.
I think this is a very nice portrait. I like that you did it in b&W, the backlighting (intentional or not) puts a halo on her hair, and that the focus is clearly on her and not on the surroundings as well. Her being off-center adds to the interest, and the pose seems candid enough to be believable. Really nice work, and I hope you continue - portraits are very difficult!
