Prayer flags are colorful panels or rectangular cloths often found strung along mountain ridges and peaks in the Himalayas to bless the surrounding countryside. This picture was taken at Namtso Lake, Tibet. Namtso Lake is called "Tengali Sea" in Mongol, which means heavenly lake. It is one of the 3 sacred lakes in Tibet. The lake is 4718m above sea level. Its size 1940 sq km.
