The Grace Miller Elementary PTA sponsored a “Santa in Pajamas” program this December. Over 200 people came to school on a cold wintry evening to eat cookies and milk while listening to one of Santa’s Elves read the timeless story “Twas the Night before Christmas.” After the story, the students each had a chance to share their Christmas list with the jolly old elf himself. All students who came, received a personalized letter back from Santa reminding them to be good and to leave cookies and milk out on Christmas Eve. Many students who came brought new unwrapped gifts that were donated to a homeless shelter in the heart of Los Angeles ’s skid row.
